His discovery helped him realize why the

He concluded that the large the anvil, the lower the tone,

When we make musical instruments of all kinds and sizes,
we still use what Phytagoras discovered about tones.
We make long-stringed instruments, like cellos,
whose vibrating strings make low tones,
and short-stringed instruments, like violins,
that make higher tones.
